New Pictures. . . It is about time!

As time goes on. . . .  the horses we have sold are getting older.  Their new owners have been sending pictures and telling us how they are doing.  We appreciate hearing from them and would like to share them with you.  If you have been to our web site or our barn you may remember some of these horses.

Lark   Friesian/Percheron  2006 filly, 16 hds - owner Lisa Moxley 
What a lovely horse! She is balanced and forward and really moving well with rider weight...esp. now that she is shod in the front. Her confidence on the ground and kind, willing disposition has made her a snap to train and a joy to be around. Nothing phases this mare. Although part Percheron, what I love is that she is NOT at all dull-- she is VERY scoopey and really a happy camper about her work. Lark's natural balance really shines when she is under saddle and doing canter to walk transitions. She is so strong and never falls in or gets heavy on her snaffle. We LOVE this horse! Trail rides are a blast and she loves to play in the water! All this and great looks, too! Her confirmation is great and we always get compliments on her regal looks and soft eye.

HUDSON (A.K.A. Director's Cut)  Percheron/TB

Owned by Cassie Hulbert in Hawaii.  They are both in California now while Cassie is going to school. First picture is Hudson at 2 yrs when they first bought him, look how he has grown!!!!!  Yes, it is the same horse!  Hudson is a 2002 gelding.

AUSTIN  
 Clyde/TB (sire Venator TB) and belongs to Cathy Diggs in Pasadena, Texas.  We don't have room to list all his accomplishments!
 

Grayce is doing very well, we have been working on our dressage and  jumping and both are coming along nicely!
In our dressage we are doing training level tests 1 and 2 and are very exited!  Also, we are
going to do novice at the meadows in April. So exiting!!!!!!


 

She is now 5 yrs old, Clydesdale cross.

TRUMAN
Truman is Maraka's other star, Clyde/Tb gelding, (Sire is Devil's Wish, TB)  this picture was taken in April 2008, at Earl Warren, in Santa Barbara. 

Maraka writes:  He is so much fun and easy. . . . each horse I get from you
is better and better!  No one can guess Truman's age or breed, most
guess he is Dutch and about 8 yrs old, because he is so easy going.  Thanks for all you do!

Truman is 4 yrs in this picture, new pics soon since she just won  AA High Point of the whole show at Earl Warren, they received 70% on 5/17/09

SERENA

Maraka on Serena at dressage show at El Capitan.  She is a  Belgian/Morgan cross.  As you can see from the photos she has a big job, taking care of the whole family!

Maraka bred Serena this year to a Holsteiner stallion (Coromino), she just loves her so much, she just wanted more!  Here is "Pumkin Pie"

Clydesdales/TB mare (sire Venator TB) lives in Vaughn, Washington with her new owner Regina Puratich.   This picture was taken at their first Event Derby.  I am sure we will be seeing/hearing more from her!

Sapphire (Ellie)

She Is FABULOUS...she has the most amazing jump, very powerful and loves her job!!! She has jumped everything the first time she was taken to the jump, ditches, banks, drops, benches, tables and she loves water. She's SOOO brave, TB sensitive, very forward yet very calm. We took her to her first XC schooling lesson and was as calm as a seasoned professional. Then she went to her first combined test schooling show...was tied in Dressage for first place in the elementary division, went on to do her xc which was perfect .  She was a very good girl. I took her up by herself...there was a lot of horses, rain and cold and nothing  bothered her at all. When you get on her she has a wonderful willing work ethic. Nicole (trainer) is doing a wonderful job...she just loves her. .

BEN NEVIS (aka CLYDE)
 

  Ben Nevis is a Clyde/TB is owned by Bruce Cohen of Camarillo, CA

Clyde  has turned out to be a great partner for Bruce.,  This picture is Clyde continuing his training.  Look for them at our local Derbys and Dressage shows. 

Bruce says. . . . . "He is so much fun, he should be illegal".

Hendrick is a Clyde/TB (Sire Venator TB)  lives with Dolly Cohen in Camarillo, Ca

Dolly is in absolute heaven with Hendrik.  He is TOO smart.  Jennifer Swope is showing him, which he loves, but Dolly has found a new trail partner and is having a blast.  He is so good out there and safe, taking good care of her.
 

KEW  (aka MONROE)

Kew is a Clyde/TB (Sire Venator TB) living with Lynne DiGrandi in Portland, Oregon.

Here is a picture of Kew at his AWS inspection, which he passed. 

He is a happy camper where ever we go.   We’ve been miles into the Cascade mountains, thru rivers, lakes etc.  The beach was great fun.   Everyone that knows him just adores his even steady personality.  He gets along with all his pasture mates.  Is a leader without being too Alpha.  Thank you so much Denise, for starting him so well.  
 
 

FLANNIGAN



Flannigan is a Perch/TB owned by Susan McGrath

Susan writes:  He is wonderfully balanced and moves very well.  He has had very good dressage scores although he likes jumping much more and is an amazing jumper.  I have had him in training since I purchased him three years ago.  A little over a year ago he started training over fences.  He has done extremely well in eventing tests and loves the action of shows--he is a very friendly and outgoing guy!
 

CRR BROOKE aka Katrina

Belgian/Paint/TB

I bought Katrina in September 2005 from Chuck Koop at the Center for Equestrian Arts in San Ramon.  Since that date, she and I have been in eventing training at Denville-Kanani Ranch in Pleasanton, CA

 Katrina had her first competition experiences this year and has had a fabulous debut!!!!  She took 2^nd place, Open Novice Division at Twin Rivers in March and then took 5^th place, Open Novice Division at Twin Rivers in April.  I have attached a picture of her at this event.

 She is absolutely in her element on the cross country course and she absolutely loves it.  She has a fabulous work ethic and she is very forward.

Owned by Nicole and Sherri Garnder in Worrington, PA 

Nicole is excited about how quick he learns and is coming along nicely.
Nicole is riding for a woman who was on the U.S. Olympic dressage team and learning lots of things to do with Colton and he is such a willing and quick learner. Will do some local dressage shows this spring and summer.

Sherri and Nicole bought Colton over the phone, he was everything they wanted!  We helped in arranging for his long trip to Pennsylvania

FIFTY CALIBER

RAZZI

Razzi will be 6 yrs old this year, she is owned by Danika Kulczycki and doing really well.  Danika is planning to compete beginner novice on her this year. She says "I am so happy to have her and she is a joy every day "! She is a Perch/TB

MERCEDES

Mercedes is a 2002 filly, Clydesdale/Paint/Tb

We are having so much fun with Mercedes. I know it looks like torture but she loves playing with us. She is a darling.  She is now 5 yrs, they have successfully shown her English and Western.   have sent us many pictures of her including doing parades, showing English pleasure, trail riding , you name it, they have done it with this horse!   This year they are working on her dressage.

TANGO

     Tango is a 3/4 Tb, 1/4 Clydesdale, 16.2 hd mare owned and adored by Dr. Laura (Now Laura Thompson DVM) Tango is not only an awesome event horse, she also played a big part in Laura's recent wedding!
